Wonderful Time Being Snowed In

We had a wonderful time being snowed in on one of our 3 days at Elk Creek. There is plenty to keep you busy while in the house as it has all the amenities we have at our own house. The view is awesome, the owner is very attentive and responsive. We will stay again.

Your home is much more beautiful than the pictures you show on the website. It is extremely comfortable and relaxing and plenty of room. The views from the front yard as well as the back are beautiful. You both certainly went above and beyond to make sure your home was stocked as if you were living there full time. Your suggestions of going to several local places was fantastic as we all had a great time.

Five Star+++ Home and Vacation, Thanks To Wonderful Hosts- May 2019

Part of what makes this house so lovely is the owners, and all the care they put into each detail in offering such sweet hospitality that will make you want to return to this home again and again. From our first communication with the Berry family, they went over and above with kindness. Check-in was simple (including a keypad door), and soon after check-in, Mr. Berry sent a text to make sure everything met our expectations. The upstairs bedroom was just a little warm, and Mr. Berry immediately offered to lower the temperature remotely. Within minutes, it was perfect, and our children were delighted to sleep upstairs! The owners include a binder with restaurant suggestions, etc. The home itself is immaculate (I have asthma, so this is important to us), and includes absolutely everything one could possibly need. The bedrooms are comfortable in every way (the Master is spectacular), and the family room and back deck are absolutely beautiful! After a great hike at Linville Falls, we all enjoyed an ice cream party on the deck, and agreed that this was the best spot to enjoy our ice cream! The home is in such a wonderful location, with proximity to many great places to explore. The little town of Banner Elk is our new favorite mountain town! In the Spring, there are gorgeous flower baskets blooming along downtown, and we even got to enjoy an arts and crafts fair! The restaurant we visited was wonderful, and we found the people of Banner Elk to be very warm and friendly!

Our stay was fabulous. Your home was wonderful. They were easy to contact if we had any questions. The kitchen had everything needed for our stay as we cooked most of our meals and ate outside on the deck overlooking the mountains. The house was close to Blue Ridge Parkway where we did many hikes. Your recommendations for restaurants were outstanding. Can’t wait for our next visit! 5 Stars!

Five Stars Without A Question….We Can’t Wait To Visit Again! Where do I begin? We were so excited to make this vacation one to remember, might I say it surely was! Pulling up to this beautiful home set the mood.

Your home was very much a home away from home. From the decor to the amenities, you didn’t miss a thing! Your recommendations to local restaurants, wine vineyards, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Blowing Rock, and Boone are an absolute must-see!

My first morning watering the flowers on your porch, I see a birds’ nest with babies chirping for food, what a way to start my day. Morning coffee out on the balcony watching the hummingbirds.

Then the adventures began…..

If you’re looking to be adventurous and see the true beauty of the mountains, this is the place to be. Where else can you have a beautiful home and great hospitality? After a full day exploring the mountains, have dinner in quaint town of Banner Elk ending, then home on the balcony overlooking the mountains with a glass of wine, and you have front row seats!!!

A gem of a place! Sparkling clean house with lots of thoughtful touches. The views were amazing and we loved the home.

It’s not just the physical beauty of the home and the nature surrounding it, to me it was the sounds of nature that accellerated the experience. Amazing job!

Perfect house, great location. Made it easy to get in and out of Banner Elk. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need for cooking and cleaning. The house was very clean and the owners were great to work with. The fire pit outside was one of our favorite spots!

Beautiful Mountain Retreat! Our family enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving at Elk Creek Rental! The house is beautiful and offered plenty of room for our family of 8. (6 adults, 2 children) This house feels like a home not a vacation rental. The owners have put many personal touches in the decor of this property. We enjoyed the large deck and the fire pit on the chilly mornings and evenings. The house is conveniently located near the charming town of Banner Elk with restaurants, a winery, and grocery store. Boone, NC is a short drive away with a movie theater, shopping, and more dining options. The owners of this property are so thoughtful and easy to reach. We had a light snow the morning we were leaving, and the owner offered to have the driveway cleared. That is just one example of how attentive they are to their guest. We hope to return soon!
